Dommershammer was once a beautiful Dwarven settlement, inhabited by a clan of proud Dwarves proficient in the art of shipbuilding and architecture. Upon the establishment of the Xanician colony long ago, the Dwarven clan began to quickly dwindle in number, and as time passed vanished altogether. Now only humans, elves, and the slave Githzerai inhabit this city. Despite this the Dwarven presence is still apparent in their beautiful buildings which still stand to this day.
Notes about Dommershammer:
- Dommeshammer is considerably smaller than other Xanician cities. Despite this it still has the modern feel that one would have when entering New Kroy. The difference is the intimacy that reminds one of a small village, this is what sets Dommeshammer apart from other establishments in the country.
- It has a beautiful pier which lies on a conduit which runs through Xanicias and out into the ocean. Because of this their fishing and shipbuilding is an integral part of their economy.
- Gorgeous buildings made of Dwarven ore still stand to this day. When one examines the buildings the intricacies of Dwarven architecture are immediately apparent.
- The “Sewage Drain” is a beautiful place in the downtown area of Dommershammer. There lies a fountain and swimming pool which all of the children of Dommershammer play. It began as a meeting place and playground for the Githzerai youth of the city, but to many of the elder Human’s dismay, human children are constantly found sneaking out to meet up and play with the Githzerai despite their disparity in social standing. The fountain of the Sewage Drain is a statue of a great Dwarf striking the earth with his pickax with water spewing from the fissure in the ground he had made.
